Cloudhouse is looking for an experienced pre-sales engineer with deep technical knowledge in the desktop management space who has successfully sold and implemented desktop (VDI) and/or application virtualization solutions to Enterprise, Service Provider, or ISVs
SEs are responsible to support the sales team to prepare for customer meetings, technically qualify opportunities, present the Cloudhouse solution to customers, answer technical and competitive questions, prepare solution and design proposals, create configuration sizing for quotes, manage POC efforts, coordinate technical resources, assist with professional service scoping, and provide a clean handover to the delivery and support teams. SEs are also responsible to maintain ongoing technical relationships with customers, partners, and resellers to communicate new product features and benefits and upsell the solution. Duties may also include customer training, installation work for proof of concepts, product demos, partner strategic planning, and representing Cloudhouse at conferences and tradeshows. As the first hire in this team, we would like an individual who can help grow and lead the team in the future. This roles will be mainly UK focused, but may require international travel to customer, partner, or conference locations.
SEs must have a deep technical understanding and hands-on capability in Desktop Management, VDI, and/or Server Based Computing solutions (e.g. Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop; VMware View, Microsoft Terminal Services), application virtualization (ThinApp, AppV) and a working knowledge of how MS SQL clients work in the desktop space. Experience and technical design understanding of application packaging, app streaming, server virtualization, shared storage, data centre arch and Windows 7 and 8 are a must. Sr. SEs must have at least 8 years’ experience in the desktop space with a minimum of 3 years in a technical pre-sales role selling to Enterprise, SME, or Service Provider customers. Candidates should have at least a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related area of study and a practical working knowledge of sales process.

£60 -80k base +10% bonus
