Meet the Team: Anet Shridhar
We thought it would be interesting to run some blogs about the super people at Cloudhouse. We’re speaking to people across all our teams to find out a bit more about them, what their role is and what makes them tick. We also ask them to spill the beans on their worst IT fail… because it happens to the best of us!
Meet… Anet Shridhar, Accountant

When did you join Cloudhouse?
April 2019
What do you do at Cloudhouse?
I work within the Finance team, and my job title is Accountant. My day to day job is to look after all accounts transactions, processing and reconciling all incoming and outgoing payments and making sure everything is appropriately and properly recorded in our finance system. I also manage some the HR tasks.
What’s the best thing about working at Cloudhouse?
The culture allows you space for creativity, and to use your initiative. I feel trusted to come up with new ideas and ways to do things.
Tell us a little about your career up to this point:
I used to work in accounts for the charity BookTrust, the UK’s largest children’s reading charity. I then took some time out to realise my dream of running my own café. I learned a lot running my own business for three years, before deciding to return to my accounting career.
Most embarrassing IT moment (e.g., hitting reply all when you really shouldn’t have, deleting something VERY important, leaving your laptop on the train…)
This happened in 2020, during the long hot summer. I left my laptop on my desk for the weekend, in a sunny, west-facing room. It was in direct sunlight, and the battery overheated, and expanded and opened up the back of the laptop! Sadly, it could not be fixed, but I’m relieved it did not catch on fire… More embarrassingly, our IT team sent a message to all members of staff to advise them not to do this! I wasn’t named in the message, but I suppose everyone will know now…
Favourite sandwich filling
Tuna mayo with cucumber, please!
How do you take your tea?
I have a very specific preference, although sadly I can’t drink it this way at the moment as I am pregnant and avoiding caffeine. I like Earl Grey tea with oat milk, well stewed!
Cats or dogs?
Dog – although I don’t have any pets at the moment, I would like to have a dog one day.
Dream holiday destination
Anywhere that I can ski! Chamonix in France would be my dream destination, I visited in September once and would love to see it in ski season. I grew up in the Czech Republic and everyone can ski. I learned when I was three! So, I love to ski whenever I get the chance.
