Explore Alchemy →Premier Support for Oracle Hyperion EPM 11.1.2.x ended in December 2021, and the Windows Server the platform runs on is out of support too. That leaves finance and IT with two heavy options: an out-of-place upgrade to 11.2, or a full re-implementation on Oracle EPM Cloud. Cloudhouse™ offers a third way. We package Hyperion and its legacy dependencies so it runs on modern Windows Server, keeping your close and consolidation live, with no code changes and results guaranteed.
Oracle Hyperion EPM still runs the close, consolidation and planning for a large number of enterprises. For most finance teams it works, and they would rather leave it alone. The difficulty sits underneath it. The application and the Windows Server it depends on have both fallen out of support, and that single fact creates three separate pressures.
Hyperion 11.1.2.x moved to sustaining support in December 2021. No new security patches, no bug fixes, no fresh certifications. The software keeps running, but every month it drifts further from anything Oracle will stand behind.
The vendor routes are an out-of-place upgrade to 11.2 onto new infrastructure, or a full re-implementation on Oracle EPM Cloud with a new interface. Either is a multi-month programme on a timeline set by the supplier, not by you.
Hyperion 11.1.2.4 was certified against Windows Server and SQL Server versions that have themselves reached end of support. An unpatched operating system carrying a finance system is exactly what an auditor flags first.
Cloudhouse containerises the application at the application level. Hyperion and its legacy dependencies are sealed inside a self-contained runtime and are never installed or registered on the host operating system. Hyperion runs exactly as your finance team knows it, while the unsupported parts are lifted off the estate.
Alchemy runs legacy Windows applications on any modern platform with no rewrites. Cloudhouse has been keeping business-critical applications running safely since 2010, and Oracle Hyperion is one of the most common cases we handle. We have delivered the same packaging approach across multiple industries, each one keeping Hyperion live and the operating system supported.
Every team facing Oracle Hyperion end of support is choosing between the same paths. Set side by side, the trade-offs are clear.
| Upgrade to 11.2 or EPM Cloud | Carry on as-is | Cloudhouse | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cost and effort | Multi-month programme, new infrastructure or re-implementation | Low now, higher later | A fraction of a re-platform, delivered in weeks |
| Disruption to finance | New interface, testing and retraining | None until something breaks | None, the interface is unchanged |
| Support and security posture | Resolved, eventually | Unsupported OS and application, at risk now | Supported OS, legacy risk contained |
| Who sets the timeline | Oracle | The next incident | You do |
Cloudhouse has packaged Oracle Hyperion for organisations across several industries. The names are withheld, the pattern is the same: keep Hyperion running, take the unsupported platform off the estate, and avoid a forced re-platform.
An on-premises Hyperion 11.1.2.4 build, still handling daily close and consolidation years after Oracle's 2021 support cut-off, on end-of-life Windows Server. Packaged with Alchemy and moved onto a supported platform without a rewrite.
Oracle Hyperion re-packaged and maintained across successive change requests, keeping the environment supportable while the wider estate was modernised.
Seven applications packaged in the first phase, including Hyperion and the connected tax systems that finance depends on for reporting.
A legacy Oracle Hyperion 11 environment packaged and kept running, removing the dependency on an unsupported operating system.
A Hyperion Server environment packaged using Cloudhouse's application-compatibility technology, keeping the platform live on modern infrastructure.
The same approach handles the rest of the legacy Windows estate around Hyperion, from classic ASP and IIS workloads to other end-of-life line-of-business applications.
Engagements are anonymised. Cloudhouse can arrange a reference conversation with a comparable customer under NDA on request.
Tell us where the pressure is, a Hyperion version on sustaining support, an unsupported Windows Server underneath it, or a push toward EPM Cloud you are not ready for. We will show you the approach on your own environment, not a generic demo.
