Take all your server applications and workloads with you

The deadline for for Windows Server 2008 and Server 2008 R2 support has passed. On January 14, 2020, Microsoft stopped supporting these platforms, only sending out ‘Critical’ and ‘Important’ Security Updates to customers who take out a subscription.

For some this has been unavoidable. Applications and workloads dependent on Windows Server 2003, 2008 or 2008 R2 don’t always work on the modern server platforms without refactoring, recoding or upgrading. And with Extended Security Update (ESU) charges increasing year-on-year, this will become an expensive situation, just to stand still.

Cloudhouse make ESU charges totally avoidable. Incompatible applications can be packaged into an application compatibility package and moved in its current state without impacting on end-user experience, eradicating the need for ESU charges as well as removing technical debt.

Only Cloudhouse can take all your legacy applications and workloads to modern Windows Server platforms.

Rescue your Server 2003, 2008 and 2008 R2 applications

N-tier applications deployed on Server 2003, 2008 and 2008 R2 are incompatible with Windows Server 2016 and 2019, either because they depend upon old runtimes like Java 1.3 or .Net 2.0, have hard coded dependencies on the Operating System, or you lack the install media.

If you’ve been tasked with migrating your Server 2003 or 2008 applications to Server 2016 or 2019 in a new data center, cloud, or hybrid cloud, you are probably facing some of these challenges:

> No install media or source code

> Application uses SQL Server 2005

> Infrastructure dependencies on server and database names

Cloudhouse Application Compatibility Packages enable you to reliably resolve compatibility problems, isolate old runtimes like Java and .Net so that you can safely move your applications to the latest supported and secure Windows Operating System without impacting high availability and disaster recovery.

> Run incompatible applications and runtimes on Server 2016 and 2019 using our compatibility, redirection and isolation engines

> Overcome dependencies on server name, IPs, databases etc with network redirections

> Media not required – run time analysis means we can automate the extraction of the applications from the server
