Outage Stress Test by Cloudhouse™

How exposed is your IT estate to invisible change?

Two years on from the CrowdStrike outage, small, unseen changes are still how big incidents start. Twenty questions, about three minutes, and a clear read on where you're exposed as the summer holidays thin your cover.

Start the stress test Takes about three minutes. We'll ask for a work email at the end to show your result.

What we measure

Six places invisible change hides

The test scores your estate across six risk areas. Your result breaks the same six back down, so you can see where you're solid and where a routine change could turn into an incident.

A

Configuration visibility & drift

Whether you have a known-good baseline, and whether you would see it when live config quietly moves away from it.

B

Change control & undocumented change

How much reaches production outside a recorded process, including the changes your suppliers make.

C

Dependencies & single points of failure

Whether you can see a change's blast radius before it goes live, or only find out afterwards.

D

AI & automation risk

Whether automated pipelines and AI tools change your estate faster than you can see what they touched.

E

Summer coverage & key-person risk

How well you would cope if the person who holds it all in their head is on leave when something breaks.

F

Detection, response & recovery

How quickly you can find the change that caused an incident, and roll back to a known-good state.

Take the stress test

Twenty quick questions across the six areas above. Answer honestly: the result is only useful if it reflects how things really run.

Guardian by Cloudhouse

Make invisible change visible

Guardian™ gives you a single source of truth for your estate. It detects configuration drift, checks live state against a known-good baseline, and produces the evidence auditors ask for, across on-premise, cloud and SaaS. It is how you catch invisible, automated change before it becomes an outage.

Questions

Before you start

Your exposure to change you can't see. It scores six areas: configuration visibility and drift, change control, dependencies, AI and automation risk, summer cover, and how fast you could detect and recover. You get an overall resilience score plus a breakdown of each area.

About three minutes. Twenty multiple-choice questions, no free text. You can go back and change an answer before you finish.

We ask for one thing: a work email at the end of the test. Enter it and your full breakdown appears on screen, and we'll send you a copy with a short checklist for your weakest area. Nothing else is required to see your score.

Change that reaches production without anyone seeing or recording it: a supplier tweak, an automated pipeline, a quiet config edit. It sits there until something breaks, and then nobody can say what moved or when. The CrowdStrike outage is the pattern writ large: automated change, pushed at scale, with nothing in place to catch it first.

Guardian baselines your critical systems and checks live state against that baseline continuously, so drift and undocumented change surface as they happen rather than at audit time. It maps dependencies, tracks automated change the same way as manual change, and gives you a timestamped record you can roll back to.

The test itself runs in your browser, and your individual answers stay there. The work email you enter to see your result is used to send you your breakdown and for us to follow up about it.
