Cloudhouse Director Jonathan Dedman was recently invited to talk with GP Albanese, a Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services (AWS), on AWS’ YouTube channel. Brought to life by an interactive ‘visualisation board’, the video features a highly engaging discussion and comprehensive overview of Cloudhouse’s modernisation process and how we work with AWS.
We’ve partnered with AWS for a number of years. In this time, we’ve provided our services to hundreds of AWS clients, helping them move outdated applications – both on-premise and in the cloud – onto modern Windows servers without modifying their codebase.
The first half of the discussion sees Jonathan outline what makes Cloudhouse unique and highlight our three key products:
Jonathan also explains the benefits of Cloudhouse’s approach, the importance of escaping unsupported environments without impacting the business, and ongoing support.
GP then moves on to talk about the architectural part of how Alchemy works with AWS. Using the visualisation board, Jonathan paints a picture of how the platform helps clients running critical business apps on older operating systems migrate onto AWS and the result of this process.
The rest of the chat includes discussion around how packages enable applications to be made ‘evergreen’ to extend their life onto new environments, removing risk in the face of outages, and tackling customer concerns around performance.
To finish the video, Jonathan treats us to a visualisation of what an actual Cloudhouse migration process looks like for a customer: discovery, packaging, testing, warranty and full support.
